Sooty Wooty Is A Cat Made Into A DVD:
The popular children's picture book Sooty Wooty Is A Cat by Anne Rogers has been made into a talking DVD. The company bananaEd of Sand Lake, NY, USA, owned by Hal Houghton, have come up with a good idea to encourage children to read more books, by taking popular picture book stories and putting them on DVD and videocassette. Karen Houghton is 'The Reading Lady' who sits in front of the camera and reads the story to the children. The pictures are shown along with the story and altogether it makes for a very nice presentation, which any child would enjoy watching and listening to. BananaEd plan to distribute the DVD's to TV companies, libraries and schools throughout the US. Anne Rogers is going to offer the DVD of Sooty Wooty Is A Cat to Australian TV stations, schools and libraries. It will soon be available to buy as a DVD and a download on Lulu and also directly from Anne as a DVD and a Videocassette so look out for it. Anne's other books Prince & The Apple Tree, Captain Dan & Sailor Sam and the soon to be released The Legend Of The Sun Kitten will also become available as DVD's and Videocassettes later on in the year.

Sooty Wooty will be on the air by tomorrow (4 June 07) in Maine, New York, and Connecticut, being broadcast via cable to approximately 55,000 households. By the end of June, it will be on at least 6 other stations in various states, and this number continues to increase as the approvals come in.
